Scotland, Dec 5: The digital revolution has extended the possibilities of the electronic gadgets and there by left the customers with lot of choices. The television viewers in Scotland are lot more confused about the range of digital technology available for them as the country is planning for a digital change over.
The Scottish Consumer Council (SCC) noticed that those unfamiliar consumers are finding themselves isolated by the new change and the quick steps has to be taken to bring things back to normal, this same problem is faced by the rest of the UK
An earlier finding of the SCC by recording the day to day experiences of the residents living in the border council areas of Scotland, those who are included in the survey had filled a digital diary the survey is based on this information.
The outcome of the result was exposed along with another independent research carried out by the Ofcom Consumer Panel shed light on to the fact that most of the consumers are less aware of the technological changes, the variety of choices and the cost factor.
Around 250000 households from the south of Scotland who are given the ITV Border will get affected by the change that happened after the up gradation of the Selkirk transmitter to digital format.
