Sex wins the race over intelligence
The new ideology which our so called generation next girls are embracing these days is to get a sexy look. Their main aim is to get a sexy image; they are more concerned about sexuality, even above other values like intelligence and cleverness. Now-a-days the stress and importance given to look sexy by many known celebs are pushing them to be like them. They are made to believe that sexiness will empower them, Carol Platt Liebau, a leading political commentator said.
The girls are highly sensitive about the way they look and carry themselves and attempting copy the celebrities these days. They think that by being sexually attractive they could gain the admiration in society. But this nature is making them more vulnerable in society; girls are valuing sexuality above all other values.
The teenagers are becoming over concerned to get the sexy tag in them; they believe that sexiness would make them more intelligent, and accomplished. These teens are just following the path of known sex symbols like Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.
The spokeswoman for the Rape Crisis Scotland revealed that the sale of products like junior pole-dancing kits is a matter of concern. She added, “We are concerned about the over-sexualisation of children and the effect it has on women and girls’ self-esteem. Young women do experience a lot of pressure to have sex.”
But the main source of inspiration for these girls which is drawing them to get this sexy tag is basically the new generation television. The girls are influenced by the way the Hollywood portray the sexuality, all this is making girls more concerned about their looks and appearances. But this attitude in long run can put them in great trouble and even identity crisis; hopefully this trend will end soon, making teenagers to understand the importance of intelligence and character above their personal looks.
