Edinburgh Hogomanay Celebration 2010-11 tickets on sale!

Edinburgh is early getting ready to welcome the new year in style with the Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party with a packed programme of events. The tickets for the festival have started to sell out. Edinburgh Hogmanay is entering into the 18th year of celebration.

Edinburgh is recognised globally as the Home of Hogmanay. The city welcomed 80,000 revellers last year to celebrate New Year in style at the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party, attracting visitors from over 60 countries. This time with the addition of an all new music stage at the East-end, the Street Party offers a full festival programme of music over four stages. The giant screens as well as the spectacular Midnight Fireworks are set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and the world’s largest ‘Auld Lang Syne’ bringing in the New Year. Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and its iconic fireworks display is broadcast across the globe to an estimated 160 countries and a viewing audience of over 1 billion, ensuring Edinburgh remains one of the world’s premier New Year events, alongside Sydney, New York and Paris.

Early Bird tickets for the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party 2010-11 are now available providing party-goers with the opportunity to obtain tickets at the 2009 price of a £10.00 admin fee. Following the end of the Early Bird promotion, tickets will be available at an admin fee of £15.00 each. Tickets for the city’s famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party are now available online or by calling TicketSOUP on 0844 481 8898. Early Bird vouchers will also be available locally from Tickets Scotland in Rose Street giving residents an opportunity to make the most of this limited promotional offer.

The events takes place in Princes Street Gardens directly below Edinburgh Castle. Artists and ticket information will be announced in the autumn and full festival programme details will be announced in October.
