All parents wish their children to be more fit and healthy, but normally parents never gives a thought as to how much time do their kids are spending in front of television or computer. The more children stay in front of the idiot box (TV) the more they generate a habit of eating junk, and fast foods which adds to their fat contents. In the study researchers performed a test on two groups of children aged four to seven years. One group of children were given a fixed time limit to watch TV or use the computers. While the other group had no limits they can spend as much time as they wish in front of the TV or computer.

The study found that the children watching too much TV or spending more time before computers added to their weight. It is known that watching more television enhances the habit of consuming more fast foods and beverages which are advertised on TV. Children get attracted towards those junk and fizzy foods and generate a bad eating habit in long run. Meanwhile the children who were limited with their hours to watch television reduced their consumption rates.

It is known that obesity is one of the biggest threats which Scotland is facing and it is shocking to find that about 23 per cent of the young kids below four years are facing the problem of overweight. If children are regulated with their television watching they are at a lower risk to adapt bad eating habits. Also they are lower risk to put on access body weight. So do check from next time how much time your children are spending in front of television or computer.
