Held annually since 1994, T in the Park, Scotland’s biggest music festival will be opening its grand show in Balado in Perthshire, starting from 7th to 10th. With 2011 being the festival’s 18th year, the progressive attitude has led it into being a benchmark event, not alone in the history of Scotland’s music, but full of UK, Europe and beyond. This spectacular event will showcase 200 artists performing from across 11 stages for over 3 days. Biggest bands will put their best skills to test, breathtaking acts will be seen and DJs will be present.
International top talents will be the major attraction from Lady Gaga to King’s of Leon, Jay-Z, The Who and Black Eyed Peas among others. TITP stays tuned to the upcoming and the best bands, thereby bringing the best established acts for its big event. It is estimated that almost 85,000 festival fans will crowd the premises of Balado with large camping areas set up to accommodate the party goers during the event. The fifth largest town in Scotland will see the finest action festival on the planet which has grown to be more than 4 times its original size during the years.
Named after the brewing company, its main sponsor, Tennents, the festival, has been originally a two day celebration but gradually changed its time period in 2007 to be a three day gala. The festival is not all about music, you have lots of other entertainments like large funfair, great food from Healthy T, Fancy dress, The T dance and more that are quite different from other music carnivals, just to make your weekend complete.
